At HowIMetMyWeddingDress.com we strive to provide sellers with an easy and unique selling experience through our excellent customer service, selling tips and growing community of buyers. We welcome all individuals, designers and bridal houses to list with us as we would love to help you sell your dress or grow your business.

How do you list your dress with us?

Account registration

Firstly, you’ll have to register an account with us. It’s easy. You can choose to sign up using FaceBook or with your email.

On HIMMWD, you are represented by your display name (both buyers and sellers). Example, if you are a bridal house, you can have the name of your shop as your display name. Moreover, we have a “About yourself” field for you to fill in to give people more flavor about you and what you have to offer.

 

Give dress details, upload dress images

After registering with us, you can proceed to Sell Your Dress. The more details you provide, the easier it will be for a bride-to-be to decide if your dress is a perfect match for her, and thus the more chances someone will contact you.

We definitely suggest including information about the material, the small details, your measurements, the alterations and if/ how the gown was cleaned or preserved. Do assume that the information is prepared for someone who does not know anything about your dress.

Be sure to fill out all categories (fields like silhouette, street size etc) as accurately as you can.  Buyers may be searching only by these criteria, so if they aren't filled in correctly, your dress won't appear in their search results.

If your dresses' designer or bridal house is not listed in the list, select "Others" or kindly email us the name of the designer or bridal house and we will add it in. 

Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! Remember the adage "A picture is worth a thousand words"? It would most definitely help buyers to form the right impression of your dress by looking at your uploaded images.

We recommend front, back and any other awesome detail(s) images of your dress to be included. Pictures of a person wearing the gown will of course give a much better idea of the dress.

 

Submit listing fee

You ONLY pay the one-time MYR$ 35.00 or US$ 11.00 listing fee, and your dress is listed until it sells. We don't charge any commission on the sale price.

After you’ve submitted your dress for listing, proceed to payment of the listing fee which could be assessed from My Dresses For Sale and click on the   icon which will lead you to your "Order Summary" page. You can then choose your preferred payment option which is either Paypal or iPay88. Should you like to pay by any other means (ie. bank transfer), do kindly email us and we would get in touch with you on next steps.

Once we have received your payment, please allow us 24 hours to activate the listing of your dress.

 

Dress shipping

Some suggestions below to keep in mind when you are ready to ship your dress to the buyer:

  • Package it properly. This will ensure the dress will not be damaged in transit and arrives in perfect condition
  • Insure it for the selling price
  • Choose a traceable method and require a signature release
